Sorry I haven't been around!


I know when a blogger doesn't blog the first thought is ugh oh they've jumped off of the wagon so to speak.

Thankfully in my case this isn't true :)

It's summer and I've been keeping pretty busy. I've been walking or biking most days and I've just found a great app on my tablet for daily workouts including pilates and stretching as well as weights and kettle ball workouts.  My eating has been good.

I have, however,  lost my blogging mojo lately.  I think if the weather wasn't so nice I'd be happy to be back blogging but it is what it is.

So I'll probably post here now and then and hopefully my mojo will be back soon.

Thankfully a better day today!


Ralph and I decided to go for an hours bike ride today :) We also walked around a mall and walked around the grocery store!

I only just realized that I had a winter theme on my blog so I changed it up a bit! Hope you like it.

Today's nosh:

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon, mushrooms and orang slices. Cream for my coffees (7 points)

Lunch: leftover 1/2 a pita pizza, veggies and yogurt (7points)

Dinner: Salad, dressing, chicken and blue cheese (5 points)

After dinner glass of wine while watching a movie (7 points)

Total points used: 26 points

Hope this isn't a sign of what kind of week I'm going to have!


I love how colourful downtown is becoming :)

I had a meeting this morning so I hopped on the bus but got off early so I could get a 30 minute walk in before the rain came!

Then it was off to Starbucks to grab a coffee with Jen.

On the way home someone threw up on the bus just a couple of feet away from me. It was all I could do to not throw up myself :(

After that it was off to the mall to find an outfit to wear to an annual board meeting that's happening next week. I am really happy with my choice and hopefully will have a picture of it soon. I also managed to get some matching earring and some comfortable shoes to wear.

Today's nosh: Baked cocoa/banana oats with 1 tbsp of real maple syrup, cream for coffee (8 points)


Lunch: veggies, deli beef, pineapple and 1/2c of light coconut milk mixed with banana and pineapple 
to make an awesome smoothie (3 points)


Dinner: 1/2 of a pita pizza, salad and dressing and a glass of red wine (15 points)
Total points used: 26 points

Sunday

Did you notice my very original title :)

Today I worked on dishes and figuring out my new tablet/computer. It's definitely not a one day learning curve.

I also talked Ralph into going for a bike ride. What a gorgeous day it was and believe it or not I didn't take any pictures. I actually didn't have my phone or camera on me so you'll just have to imagine it was a very nice ride!

Today's nosh:

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, 2 slices of bacon and strawberries. Organic cream for my coffees (8 points)

Lunch: Salad, shrimp, 1/2 an avocado and spicy Thai mango dressing and some blueberries on the side which I forgot to put in the picture. Yes it definitely was one of those days. (7 points)

Dinner: Blue menu lasagna, salad with pear/bluecheese dressing, 1 tbsp of parmesan/reggiano cheese and home made iced green tea (10 points)

Snack: you guessed it, no picture. Frozen individual yogurt cup which takes forever to eat which is a very good thing :) (1 point)

Total points used: 26 points

New Weight Watcher meeting!


Got up early this morning to go a different Weight Watcher meeting than I usually go to.  My favourite leader has left so I'm checking out which meeting I'll enjoy. Today's meeting was great. Great meeting Sarah if you're reading this :)

Today's meeting was good and it didn't hurt that I'd lost weight this week :) Down -1.9 lbs

I walked 35 minutes to the meeting and another 35 minutes back to the bus. Not the best weather today but hey a little rain won't hurt me.

Today's nosh:

Breakfast: almonds, an orange, iced coffee and creamer for my hot coffee (9 points)

Lunch: chopped veggies, salad dressing, cheese, banana, greek yogurt and dark mini chocolate chips (6 points)

Dinner: 1 egg, 1 egg white, bacon, potato, onions, dried apple and Greek yogurt mixed with stevia and cinnamon (9pts)

Oh those pesky mosquitoes!

So it was a little cooler today so I decided to put some jeans on, a long sleeve jacket with a hood and some off. I was on a mission to find my glasses!! Ummm nope didn't find them but I'm sure I did get a few more mosquito bites :( Not a great pic because they were chasing me.

Anyway it at least got me out for an 65 minute walk.

I also went out on an hours bike ride! I love that my legs are stronger this year so I'm actually enjoying the bike.

Today's nosh:

Breakfast: 1 low carb tortilla, 1 egg,  2 slices of bacon, light cheese, an orange and cream for coffee
(9 points)

Lunch: kale salad with ham and cheese, iced coffee (8 points)

Dinner: Jerk salmon, veggies stir fried with 1 tsp of sesame oil (5 points)

Snack: Now this was fun!! Chunks of banana frozen then dipped in yogurt and dipped in toppings and put back into the freezer. The only toppings I could find were chopped walnuts, cocao nibs and sprinkles :) (3 points)

Total points: 25
